    • Had 1 owner before me. Excellent condition

The Escape fits me. I can see where I'm going. It's reliable. I've been in the hospital and several other people have driven it and they all rave about my car. Since I can't drive any longer I need to sell it but I don't want to.
    • A great all-around car (SUV).

Engine, transmission, all components still working like new. Plenty of power but also reasonable economy. Love the AWD system. A good size. Easy entrance and exit of the vehicle. Easy to maneuver in traffic and to find parking spots. Not a single issue with this car in 4 1/2 years of ownership. Also comfortable in a month-long trip out west 2 years ago. Over 3,000 miles in one trip. Highly recommended!
    • Failed transmission and no recourse

After owning two previous Escapes, 2001 and 2006, and both still running strong with 225,000 miles+ on them, the 2017 is an extreme disappointment. Lacks the interior room of the earlier models and the previous V6 was an engine that just won't quit. The kicker was total transmission failure recently and the $6,000 bill that came with it. Needless to say, the last Escape we will own as we'll look at brands with higher powertrain warranties.
